What’s crash cart?
A crash cart or code cart or emergency trolley cart, a set of trays/drawers/shelves on wheels used in hospitals for transportation and dispensing of emergency medication/equipment at site of medical/surgical emergency for life support protocols (ACLS/ALS) to potentially save someone’s life. The cart carries instruments for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other medical supplies while also functioning as a support litter for the patient.

What are the parts of crash cart?
Standard parts of crash cart must include:
- CRS Defibrillator Shelf.
- Cardiac CPR Board.
- External Power Holder and Plug Board.
- Oxygen Tank Holder.
- IV pole height adjustable.
Optional parts include:
- Gloves Box.
- Waste bin.
- Needle Box and holder.
- Medicine Box and divider.
- Suction Shelf.
